Volunteer of the Month
June 2012 - Volunteer of the Month
By RightRides | June 1, 2020 | Volunteer of the Month
YEVGENIY: I decided to volunteer because it seemed like a great way to make a Friday or Saturday night a productive night. As someone who grew up in the city and loves it, I felt I could contribute a lot as both a navigator and a dispatcher. It is a great feeling knowing that you helped somebody.
In terms of hopes and dreams about the program, I hope to see it one day expand to New Jersey and further east in Brooklyn. I think RightRides is a great idea and would be even more useful in neighborhoods with less or no night transit options at all. However, I also hope that when RightRides acquires self-driving cars they will keep a couple of volunteers to help out.
