Summer Volunteers - General Information Session
June 11 2013 - 6:30 PM
RightRides Office
388 Atlantic Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11217
Volunteering at RightRides consists of a minimum of ten shifts per year, or about one shift every 4-6 weeks. Shifts are on Friday or Saturday nights from 11:30pm to 3:30-4:30am (around 4-5 hours).
The summer volunteer commitment consists of at least five driving or navigating shifts done between June 7th and September 1st. You will sign up for all shifts in advance. Shifts are from 11:30pm – 4:30am on Friday or Saturday nights.
Before becoming a volunteer, you’ll need to attend two separate sessions. The first is a general information session, where you’ll learn the basics of the RightRides program. Then, if you decide you are still interested and able to volunteer, you’ll attend a Driving Team training for Drivers and Navigators.
Please RSVP if you are planning on attending. Sessions start at the time listed, so please arrive promptly.
To sign up for this session, please visit www.rightrides.org/summer. Please indicate if you’d like to be a year-round volunteer or a summer-only volunteer. If you have any additional questions, please email Mollie DeMeio, Program Manager, at volunteer@rightrides.org.
The RightRides office is located on the 3rd floor of The Commons, at 388 Atlantic Ave. between Hoyt and Bond Sts.
